NOTIFICATION

No. 6915 dt 14.5.2002
& No. 8195 Dt 05.06.2002., Government has decided in principle to open 13 R.T.O
Offices in the districts of the State where is no R.T.O. Offices for better and effective
Transport Administration in the interests of public service vide Commerce & Transport
( Transport ) Department office order No. 16400-T./dated the 24th September 2001.
After careful consideration of the acute financial condition of the State, it has been
decided to open the following 8(eight) new R.T.O Offices at the first phase-
1. Angul
2. Bhadrak
3. Jagatsinghur
4. Gajapati
5. Jharsuguda
6. Nawarangpur
7. Nayagarh
8. Nuapara
Consequent upon the
creation of above new 8 RTO offices and in exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to
sub-rule(1) of rule 39 of the Orissa Motor Vehicle Rules, 1993, the State Government, do
hereby increase the no of region from 18(Eighteen) to 26(twenty six) for the porpose of
section 68 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988(59 of 1988)and fefine the area of their
jurisdiction as specified in the schedule below-
