(Enhancement of composite tax payable by the goods Vehicles belonging to the State of "Andhra Pradesh" authorised to enter in to the State of Orissa under Reciprocal Agrement)

No.LC-IV-RA-I/2001 2027/T. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section-15 of the Orissa Motor Vehicles Taxation Act,1975(Orissa Act,39 of 1975), the State Government do hereby make the following modification in regard to the composite tax payable by the goods vehicles belonging to the State of Andhra Pradesh authorized to enter into the State of Orissa under Reciprocal Agreement inforce arrived at between the aforesaid two States under sub-section (5) of section-88 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), namely:-

MODIFICATION

The aforesaid goods vehicles shall pay Rs.3000/- (Rupees three thousand only) annually as composite tax instead of Rs.1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) as decided earlier.

(Enhancement of the counter-signature quota from 900 to2000 in respect of reciprocal transport agreement with the Government of "Andhra Pradesh").

No.LC-IV-RA-I/2001 2033/T. Whereas in pursuance of sub-section(5) of section 88 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), the State Government of Orissa do hereby propose to enter into a further supplementary reciprocal transport agreement with the Government of Andhra Pradesh through the following amendment to the notification of the Government of Orissa in the Commerce and Transport (Transport) Department No.15882-LC-VII-RA-3/91-T, dated the 24^th September, 1991 published in the Extraordinary issue No. 1198 of the Orissa Gazette dated the 3^rd October, 1991.

Notice is hereby given that any representation in connection with the aforesaid amendment may be submitted in writing in duplicate within thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette, to the Transport Commissioner, Orissa, Cuttack who shall take into consideration the proposal and representation received on or before the period so specified in connection therewith in his office Chamber at Orissa Secretariat, Bhubaneswar on 16.04.2001 at 2 PM.

A M E N D M E N T

In SCHEDULE of the said notification, for the terms and conditions appearing in item 2(a) the following item shall be substituted, namely:-

"2. Enhancement of counter-signature of permits and counter-signature fee for goods carriages (a) Enhancement of the quota of counter-signature from 900 to 2000 (Permanent permit) was agreed which would include tankers. Further, no temporary permits need to be issued for this purpose on single point taxation".
