Sub: Sanction of house building grant for the damaged house due to natural
calamities.
Sir,
I am directed to invite reference on the subject cited above and to say
that it has come to the notice of
the Special Relief Organisation as well as Government that some Tahasildars
and Emergency Officers interpret
the house building grant in Para-133, Chapter- 6 of Orissa Relief Code
as free grant and allow the assistance to BPLfamilies only. Hence it is
clarified that" Notwithstanding with the criteria given in Paragraph-131
of Chapter VI in Orissa Relief Code, there shall not be any discrimination
as regards to BPL and APL categories for sanction of the House Building
Assistance to the Families whose house have been damaged due to occurrence
of any of the prescribed natural calamities.''
