performance on this point is yet to improve in the districts like
Angul, Baragarh, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Nuapada &
Sundergarh.. The Collector, Sundergarh should be particularly vigilant
on this point as the number of retail outlet points which did not
lift the stock stands at 15 out of the total figure 57 for the State
as a whole.

538, 357, 352, 312 & 307 habitations in Kandhamal, Gajapati,
Kendrapara, Koraput & Boudh districts respectively are without
safe drinking water out of the total figure of 3,338. The position
in this regard has been very high for quite sometime and was discussed
specifically in the review meeting taken by Chief Secretary on 08.07.04.
It requires immediate attention of RD Department / H & UD Department.

Submission of Fortnightly Compliance |

Collectors are advised to ensure timely submission of compliance
report. Collectors of Balasore, Bargarh, Boudh, Bhadrak, Cuttack,
Ganjam, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Kendrapara,
Khordha, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Puri & Subarnapur
have failed to submit their compliance report since long. |

job seekers of 2654, 2270, 2089, 1873, 1558 & 956 are in Jagatsinghpur,
Kendrapara, Kalahandi, Dhenkanal, Jajpur & Angul districts respectively
against the state figure of 16,631.

Collectors were requested to indicate the quantum of foodgrains
available against co.2 of Format-D. But, the Collector, Cuttack
& Dhenkanal have failed to comply the instructions. While compiling
these information, 18 Collectors should take into account the availability
of foodgrain under newly introduced NFFW Programme in 18 districts.

the fortnight. Collectors of Puri, Angul, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Bolangir,

61, 31, 27, 26, 23 & 20 respectively.

Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Khorda, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj,
Rayagada, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Puri & Sundargarh. All out efforts
must be made by Collectors to keep this number to minimum as 7,769
beneficiaries in the state have not received their pension. |

The report of the Collector Bhadrak stands at `zero’ since
first fortnight of January,04 which is a good sign. Collector, Kandhamal
has achieved the target in this fortnight. |

It
is seen from the reports that 3,338 habitations
require tube wells immediately for safe drinking water. RD Department
/ H & UD Department may report the current status in this regard.
