          The Khurda NAC is established in the year 1960 with a area of 25.38 Sq. K.ms having population of 39,034 & it has got 22 wards.

It is the premier town in the newly constituted district of Khurda. It is a sub-district head quarters town having historical importance with long and established heritage of its own.  Being located within the influence zone of Bhubaneswar, the capital city, an induced investment for infrastructure development is an imperative so as to check the migration to capital city as well as to develop Khurda as a satellite town at Bhubaneswar.

Additional class room of Practising U.P. School have been constructed with an estimated cost of Rs.1.88 lakhs for for better promotion on primary education.

          Additional class rooms of Gurujangha Primery School established before Independence, have been constructed with an estimated cost of Rs.2.95 lakhs for accommodating increasing number of students in the School.
