This NAC was established in the year 1972. It is functioning with 16 numbers of wards with an area of 6.4 Sqr. K.ms. having the population 14,263 as per 2001 census.
It is situated in the central place of the golden triangle and is 20 Kms. Away from Bhubaneswar on the way to Puri /Konark. It is an International famous town for viability /preparation of canopy locally known as “Chandua” which is unique for its style and texture. Following steps have been taken for the beautification and development of the town.

A Children’s Park has been set up in front of Jawahar Vidyapitha, on the side of N.H.-213 for resuming recreation facilities for children. The park has been constructed with MLALAD Fund and dedicated to the memory of Late Chief minister Biju Pattnaik. |
