Establishment of 4 Model
Residential Schools from Class VI to Class XII to impart
quality education to tribal students in the district of
Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Koraput and Rayagada in the pattern
of Navodaya Vidyalaya. There institution will be managed
by Orissa Model Tribal Education Society (OMTES).

DEVELOPMENT OF SCHEDULED TRIBES
AND SCHEDULED CASTES
The following Schemes
of Grants-in-Aid to Voluntary Organizations of the Central
Government as well as State Government are being implemented
through Govt. in this Department.

Organization working for the welfare of Scheduled Tribes.

for the development of Primitive Tribal Groups.

coaching for Other Backward Classes.

NGOs for welfare of SCs/STs out of the funds of the
State Government.

NGOs out of the funds provided under Centrally Sponsored
Plan Scheme. Commonly known as PCR Grant.
HOLDING OF ANNUAL ADIVASI
EXHIBITION :
An Annual
Adivasi Exhibition is held in the Adivasi Exhibition Ground,
Unit I, Bhubaneswar, Orissa from 26th
January for a week depicting the lifestyle and culture
of the tribal besides display and sale of various agricultural
produces like turmeric, lentils, hill brooms etc. Cultural
shows like tribal dances, dramas are held in the exhibition
with the tribal participating in their traditional attires
and musical instruments. The exhibition draws a huge crowd
who get to know immensely about the rich tribal culture
besides purchasing various articles.
