1. Support for setting up Multiend Silk Reeling Units
· The objective of the scheme is to improve the quality of yarn and also modernize the reeling sector. Since Multiend reeling machines are capable of producing high quality silk, production of quality cocoons also will get a boost. Weaver would be able to source warp quality yarn for power looms or handlooms.
· The unit cost of the scheme is Rs. 5.45 lakhs, Rs.7.22 lakhs and Rs. 14.00 lakhs for 6 basin, 10 basin, and 20 basin units, respectively.
i) For 6 basin and 10 basin units - 50% subsidy by CSB & State
ii) For 20 basin unit - 35% subsidy by CSB. State Govts. have the option to the subsidy to the extent they can

· All reelers who have not availed the subsidy during IX Plan under the Multiend reeling scheme and are interested to set up new units are eligible for this assistance.
2. Support to Silk Reeling Units
A. Interest Subsidy on working capital loan sanctioned by Banks to Reeling Units :
· The objective of the scheme is to encourage flow of working capital to new Multi-end reeling units. The scheme will also reduce the interest burden on working capital loan raised from Banks and encourage entrepreneurs to invest their funds in modern Multiend reeling units.
· The extent of assistance provided is as follows:
Mulberry Reeling Units - Rs.3.00 Lakhs **
Tassar Reeling Units - Rs. 1.50 Lakhs
Tassar / Eri Spinning Unit - Rs. 0.50 Lakh
** Applicable for 10 basins and above. For 6 basins, R. 2.00 lakhs will be provided.
· The amount indicated above are the amounts that CSB would keep as deposits in the Bank / State Financial Corporation which extend working capital to multi-end reeling units.
· All multi-end reeling units in Mulberry sector and reelers / spinners in the Non-mulberry sector are eligible for this assistance.
B. Incentive for production of Bivoltine Silk on Multiend Reeling Machines. :
· The objective of the Scheme is to encourage to produce more bivoltine silk and help them to compete with cheap imports.
· The unit cost is Rs. 100/- per Kg. of bivoltine silk.
· All reelers of Bivoltine silk are eligible to get the assistance.

3. Assistance to Quality Service Clubs for procurement of Cocoon Quality Grading and Raw Silk Testing Equipments.
· The objective of the Scheme is to decentralize and popularize grading of cocoon and yarn among farmer and reeler which would benefit them from quality based pricing.
· The unit cost is Rs. 1.00 lakh for procurement of cocoon quality grading equipments and R. 2.00 lakhs for procurement of raw silk testing equipments.
· The Quality Service Clubs which have atleast 20 members recommended by the State Department would be eligible.
