 VISION

SERICULTURE

v     Planned to produce 82,000 basic DFLs for self-dependency.

v     Mobilization of working capital from CSB (Rs. 60.00 Lacs), welfare department. (Rs.20.00 Lacs), KBK programme (10.28 lacs) a.

v     Tasar rearing activities are accepted as forestry activity.

v     Government policy for tasar plantation in clusters under Joint forest management programme.

v     Special Project proposed to tap the utilization of forest and human resources.

 STRATEGY

Sericulture

     ·     Self-employment opportunity to the tribal/BPL families.

·       Plantation of trees like Assan & Arjun for utilization in silkworm rearing and production of Tassar Cocoons.

·       Up-gradation of degraded forest land for Tassar culture

·        Mulberry silkworm activity in in-door getting leaf from mulberry garden providing periodical income to the farmers alround the year.

·        Growing castor plants in wild or cultivable farms for silkworm rearing to provide additional income to the castor growers through Eri culture.
