1. Assistance for Publishing Extension & Publicity Material in Local Language :
· The objective of the scheme is to keep sericulture abreast of the latest technologies in mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, post cocoon activities and control of diseases developed by Research and Development Institute through simple methods of audio-visual presentation, distribution of printed materials etc.
· Implementation of the programme will bring awareness among the farmer /reelers about the latest technologies developed by Central Silk Board / States, besides encouraging other farmers and unemployed youth to take up sericulture.
· The State Can spent up to Rs. 10.00 Lakhs under the programme in X plan.

2. Enterprise Promotion and Training :
CSB organizes the following training programmes for enterprise promotion and development of related Human Resources.
Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP)
These training programme cater to the specific needs of prospective entrepreneurs having requisite aptitude. These programmes, are region and sector specific, focusing on silk reeling and twisting, weaving, processing, silk exports etc. and ensure technical as well as managerial and motivational inputs to the participants. The programmes aim at transforming individuals and prepare them to take up viable seri-business activities. Central Silk Board also network with various institution like – Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), National Bank of Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD), Small Scale Industries Development Bank of India, State level entrepreneurship development institutes – CEDAP, CEDMAP etc., for faculty support and coordination.
Duration; 4-6 weeks.
Bankers Training Programme (BTP)
The Programme is deigned for sensitizing and updating the seri-knowledge base of the commercial & Industrial Bankers and officers from other financial institution in the field of recent developments in the sericulture front and various viable seri-based business option. These progarmme are aimed at facilitating flow of credit to the sector.
Duration: 3-5 days.
Trainer’s Training Programme (TTP)
Aims to develop a group of focused Trainer-Motivators drawn from Central Silk Board, Department of Sericulture and Non-Government Organisations of different states, so that they develop competency to organise EDPs and other training programmes pertaining to sericulture in their respective areas.
Duration: 2-4 weeks.
Grainage Management Programme (GMP)
Programmes are organized for licensed Silkworm Seed Producers of different sericultural states for upgrading their knowledge and skill level to further improve the quality of silkworm seed stock.
Duration; 6-10 days.
Technology Upgradation Programme (TUP)
Ensures transfer of appropriate technology from research institute to different silk clusters. It aims at looking into the needs of the existing entrepreneurs and suggests ways and means to upgrade and modernize the technologies and their skill set.
Duration: 2-3 days.
Growth & Business Counseling Programme (GBCP)
Designed especially for the existing entrepreneurs. It takes an objective look at the present status of their business and on the basis of SWOT analysis and other analytical tools, suggests effective measures for upgradation and diversification, if necessary.
Duration; 3 phases, 2-3 weeks each.
Management Development Programme
A series of short and medium term programmes are organised under the head, mostly for officers of Department of Sericulture and Central Silk Board. A variety of inputs, ranging from general management, motivational, pertaining to inter-personal relations, communication skill, self-development etc., are extended to the participants for the overall improvement in the quality of human resource and work efficiency.
Duration: 2-10 days.
Refresher Course for Accredited Trainers (RCAT)
Organised exclusively for accredited trainers at EDII, Ahmedabad for sharpening their training kills and refreshing their ideas and viewpoints.
Duration: 1 week.
