1. ASSISTANCE FOR RAISING AND MAINTAINING SYSTEMATIC PLANTATIONS OF TASSAR FOOD PLANTS(ASSAN & ARJUNA)
- The objective of the scheme is to improve the quality and productivity of Tassar and oak Tassar food plants by adoption of technologies developed by Research Institutes of Central Silk Board.
· The unit cost is Rs. 3900/- per hectare for maintenance of systematic plantation of Tassar host plants, Rs. 800/- per farmer for development of chawki garden and Rs. 10,000/- per hectare for raising plantation of Oak.
· Members of Vana Samrakshana Samithis, Co-operatives, Self-Help Groups, Rearers’ Groups sponsored by NGOs / Individual Rearers etc., identified by the States.

2. ASSISTANCE FOR MAINTENANCE OF TASSAR SEED MULTIPLICATION INFRASTRUCTURE IN STATES
· The objective of the scheme is to strengthen the existing seed multiplication infrastructure like tasar Pilot Project Canters (PPCs) in the state with necessary facilities like Grainage building, storage facilities, latest Grainage equipments, quality plantations etc., which would result in improved quality and productivity of Tassar silk worm seed.
· The unit cost is up to Rs. 2.50 lakh per Tassar Pilot Project Center & Rs. 7,000/- for providing rearing equipment support to Tassar seed rearers.
· States /Non-Government Organizations / Self-Help Groups and individual rearers are eligible for the assistance.

3. SUPPORT FOR SETTING UP TASAR GRAINAGE BY PRIVATE GRAINEURS
- The objective of the scheme is to assist Private graineures for construction of Grainage building, procurement of equipments and for purchase of seed cocoons and consumables to ensure availability of commercial tasar seed.
- The unit cost is Rs. 1.00 lakh for setting up of a new private Grainage, which include Rs. 50,000/- for Grainage building, Rs. 25,00/- for purchase of seed cocoons, Rs. 24,000/- for Grainage equipments and Rs. 1000/- for consumables.
- Members of SHGs / Co-operatives, seed rearers, potential unemployed youth /women or existing private tasar grainures who have land for grainage building and are identified by the State are eligible.

· The objective of the scheme is to improve quality and productivity of tasar reeling cocoons by conducting chawki rearing under nylon nets.
· The unit cost is Rs.12, 000/- per rearers.

Individual tasar commercial rearers having at least one hectare of systematic plantation including a chawki garden in 0.1 ha. Preference would be given to members of SHGs/Co-operatives.
5. CROP INSURANCE SUPPORT-TASAR
· The objective of the scheme is that it would benefit rearers in the event of crop losses because tasar silkworm rearing is conducted out-doors and its crops are often affected by heavy rains, cyclone, floods etc. The scheme also offers personal accident cover to rearers, spouse and dependents as they are exposed to accidents; threat to life from wild animals etc. it would sustain the interest of tasar silkworm rearers and encourage them to practice tasar culture.
